Two Of The Teams On House Rules Present Uncannily Similar Rooms

When it comes to styling, teams Pete and Courtney, and Katie and Alex proved to have surprisingly similar taste on Wednesday's episode of the renovation show.
The two teams were facing off against each other in the early reveal advantage challenge, with both decorating bedrooms in Lisa and Andy's home.
After being told to stick to a 'Nordic sanctuary' theme, the two teams then predictably made their way over to the local IKEA - where they awkwardly proceeded to pick out many of the same furnishings.

Without realising, Pete, 32, and Courtney, 31, and Katie, 29, and Alex, 32, picked out identical beds and wardrobes.

It wasn't until their delivery arrived though that the two teams realised just how similar their rooms were shaping up to be.

'It's the same room!

This has gone too far,' declared Alex.
'Of all the teams in the competition, Pete and Courtney, and Alex and I could not be more similar,' confessed Katie, adding they had 'all the same ideas'.
While both teams were able to see the funny side, they were understandably nervous about how their respective bedrooms would measure up.

But they decided Katie and Alex had the best room, with them being awarded five extra points and an additional $5000 for their next renovation.
